Harry joined us after his A levels just over a year ago as an apprentice carpenter, so he spends 2 days every fortnight at Chichester College following a structured course to become a qualified site carpenter, and the rest of the time he is gaining practical experience under the supervision of his mentor, either here at the factory or sometimes on one of our sites. His apprenticeship is 2 years long, and it started in January, so he is three-quarters of the way through his first year.

 

Oliver joined us in the summer after he’d finished his A levels. He has applied to join the police force, but wanted to work while his application was being processed, so he has been with us during our very busy summer manufacturing period. He is not following a structured course but is prepared to do anything that’s asked of him – we all need an Oliver!
